Support

Night's Watch is a preview-first local extension. It reviews text paste events on explicitly supported AI destinations.

Normal use

Focus a text editor on a supported destination.
Paste text.
Review any detected candidates and choose Mask or Keep.
Confirm the preview to insert the reviewed text, or cancel to make no reviewed insertion.

If no preview appears

Confirm the current site is listed in the extension's support matrix.
Reload the destination after installing or updating the extension.
Confirm the editor is a normal top-level input, textarea, or contenteditable surface.
Remember that safe text may continue without a sensitive-span preview.

Availability-first behavior: if the scanner or packaged runtime fails, Night's Watch restores the original paste unchanged instead of blocking your work. That paste is not protected.

Known limitations

Night's Watch does not guarantee detection, protect against hostile destination pages, provide enterprise DLP or compliance certification, or inspect images, screenshots, PDFs, file uploads, OCR, mobile browsers, Firefox, or Safari.

Get help or report a bug

Open an issue in the extension repository. Include the extension version, Chrome version, operating system, destination URL, and reproducible steps. Never paste a real password, API key, health record, financial identifier, or other private content into an issue.

Security reports

Use the same issue tracker for an initial report, but do not publish exploit details or sensitive evidence. Request a private contact path in the issue.
